Eine Vorrichtung zum Abtragen von Bauwerkstoff weist eine um eine Mittellängsachse drehbare Abtragseinheit (8) auf, die zum Abtragen wenigstens einer spröden Komponente eines Bauwerkstoffs Gruppen von Schlagscheiben (9) aufweist. Die Schlagscheiben (9) jeder Gruppe sind mit Spiel in radialer Richtung an einer Scheibenlagerachse (15) angebracht, wobei die Scheibenlagerachsen (15) in einem radialen Abstand zu einer Mittellängsachse der Abtragseinheit (8) angeordnet sind. Zwischen in Umfangsrichtung benachbarten Gruppen von Schlagscheiben (9) ist wenigstens ein zum spanenden Abtrag wenigstens einer duktilen Komponente eines Bauwerkstoffs mit wenigstens einer Schneidplatte (11) eingerichteter Schneidsockel (10) angeordnet. Dadurch ist zum Abtragen von Bauwerkstoff mit Komponenten mit unterschiedlichen mechanischen Eigenschaften jeweils ein Abtragswerkzeug vorhanden, das an die unterschiedlichen mechanischen Eigenschaften der Komponenten angepasst ist und deshalb ein effizientes Abtragen des Bauwerkstoffs schafft.
