Ein System und ein Verfahren zur Steuerung der Bewegung einer Tür sind vorgesehen. Die Tür ist zwischen einer offenen Position und einer geschlossenen Position beweglich und hat eine Gleichgewichtsposition, in der sich die Tür unter dem Einfluss der Schwerkraft weder in Richtung der offenen noch der geschlossenen Position bewegt. Das System umfasst einen Kraft-Aktuator zum Bewegen der Tür in eine teilweise offene Position zwischen der offenen und der geschlossenen Position. Der Kraft-Aktuator ist so ausgelegt, dass sich die Tür in die Gleichgewichtslage bewegen kann, nachdem der Kraft-Aktuator die Tür in die teilweise geöffnete Stellung gebracht hat.
A system and method for controlling motion of a door are provided. The door is moveable between an open position and a closed position and has a balanced position whereat the door does not move towards the open position nor the closed position under an effect of gravity. The system includes a power actuator for moving the door to a partially open position between the open position and the closed position. The power actuator is adapted to allow the door to move to the balanced position after the power actuator has moved the door to the partially open position.
