A water drain-off channel has a cover (10) extending over the length of the channel, and an inflow region open at the top and a frame for accommodating the channel cover (10). Load struts (20) have recesses (22) between the connection zones of the load struts to the cross members (16), or the cross members jut out over the load struts to the positioning face of the channel cover, and thus form placement zones for the channel cover on the frame. An independent claim is given for a channel cover of water removal channel.
