Method for reconstructing a flat roof of a building comprises partially opening and partially removing the roof seal (6), applying a further heat insulation (8) on the heat insulation (4), preferably on the roof seal and applying a roof seal (10) on the further heat insulation. An independent claim is also included for a roof structure comprising a support shell (1) with a two-layer heat insulation and a roof seal. Preferred Features: A hygroscopic storage layer is formed between the two heat insulations. The storage layer is formed from a thin insulating layer with a storage medium for moisture.
