A device (1) for protecting locks, comprising a base (4) which is provided with a seat for a cylinder that can be associated with a lock (2), and which has perimetrically at least two axial seats (16a, 16b, 16c, 16d) for connection with a decorative plate (25) which is provided with fins (29a, 29b, 29c, 29d) which are shaped complementary and can be removably coupled to the at least two seats. The at least two seats have an irregular shape in a plan cross-section which prevents the extraction of the fins in the event of an attempted forced entry.
