Reaction product obtained by reacting reactive aluminum-silicon compound and a compound comprising one element of the second main group, where the reactive aluminum-silicon compound is thermally activated and/or the reaction product exhibits a thermal stability of up to greater than 500[deg] C, a marked fine structure, a specific surface BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) of greater than 5 m 2>/g and/or a large porosity with an average pore size of less than 100 nm, is claimed. An independent claim is also included for producing the reaction product, comprising thermally activating aluminum-silicon compound, converting into a reactive form and reacting with the compound comprising second main group in the aqueous medium.
