The device has a working unit e.g. rail lifting arm (7), crane path (8), crane arm (9), lifting and rotation devices (10, 12) and an intermediate bearing (11), for implementing works and forming a transport unit (15) such as a standard container i.e. sea container. The working unit is accommodated in the transport unit. The transport unit is detachably attached on a rail vehicle (1) i.e. railcar. A part of the working unit is adjusted between a transport position and a working position. The transport unit comprises a frame (4), which is detachably attached on the rail vehicle.
