The machine has a device (13) for assisting a driver of a machine during reversing. The device includes a unit (17) for sensing a position of front wheels or running-gears and rear wheels or other running-gears. A calculating unit (16) determines data defining trajectories of the machine based on the position of the front and rear wheels. An image detecting unit (15) detects an image of a rear part of the machine. A display unit (14) displays the detected image. An image processing unit is designed so that the trajectories are superimposed on the displayed image.
