HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTOR
A superconductor is provided, including material having stacked first and second layers, each of the layers with a network of cations surrounded by oxygen anions. The material has an ilmenite crystal structure and a basic composition of type ABX3, where A and B are elements dominantly occupying the cation sites of the first and the second layers, correspondingly, at least one of the elements A and B being a transition metal, and X is an anion element dominantly occupying the anion sites.
