The profile plate absorbs or reflects at least 85% of radiation having a wavelength of less than 370 nm. The embossed structure exhibits an angle (2) of at least 18[deg] . An independent claim is also included for producing the transparent profile plate, comprising mixing the raw materials in an extruder and plasticizing, discharging the plasticized raw materials as a molten film and embossing with a structured roller, and profiling the embossed film by a forming tool, where core temperature of extrudate is higher by at least 10[deg] C than in the edge layer, before embossing, and is lower by at least 10[deg] C than in the edge layer before forming.
