The device (10) has a fixing plate (12) for fixing the device at an outer wall (22). An insertion plate (14) is fastened at the fixing plate by a connecting bar (16) in a plane parallel to the fixing plate. A section of the insertion plate is designed for relative engagement in a slot (24) of a thermal insulation body (20), where the slot corresponds to a thickness of the insertion plate. The connecting bar is designed for relative engagement in a corresponding opening (26) i.e. slot, of the thermal insulation body. A length of the connecting bar ranges from 4 cm and 6 cm. The device is made of metal or plastic. The thermal insulation body is formed from a synthetic inorganic insulating material e.g. mineral wool, mineral foam, and foam glass. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a thermal insulation composite system (2) a method for providing a thermal insulation composite system.
