The hinge has a pivot arm (4) pivotably mounted at a housing. A linear drive (8) is provided at the housing for actuating the pivot arm. A carriage (12) is longitudinally displaceably mounted at the housing. The carriage is actuatable by the drive, and connected with the pivot arm. The drive is connected with the carriage by a coupling (11). The drive or the carriage is connected with the pivot arm by a lever rod. A spring (7) e.g. tension spring, is mounted at the housing, and actively connected with the pivot arm. The spring is connected in parallel or in series with the drive. An independent claim is also included for a cooking oven.
