The gauge (10) has a module including an actuator and a hinged jib, where the gauge is arranged in three-dimension. A case (20) is intended to be in support against an upright (50) of an opening (40), and an articulated element (30) is arranged on a case in rotation around an vertical axis (Z) when the case is positioned against the upright of the opening, and adapted to reproduce movement of the jib relative to the module. The movement allows driving of a beating flap (70) between a closed position and an open position. An independent claim is also included for a method for verifying dimensions of a beating flap.
