The invention relates to a method for producing a hollow-chamber profile, in particular a window or door hollow-chamber profile. At least one hollow profile is produced by means of an extrusion process. Furthermore, at least one insulating profile which is preferably filled with foam insulating material is produced. The hollow profile and the insulating profile are then combined by means of a mechanical connection to form the hollow-chamber profile. The insulating profile preferably forms at least part of the inner and/or outer surface of the hollow-chamber profile. The subject of the invention is also a correspondingly produced hollow-chamber profile.
