SHAPED REFRACTORY AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
It is to provide a refractory having excellent corrosion resistance and economic efficiency. The shaped refractory is made from a fired refractory and an oxide powder, characterized in that a pore volume/pore diameter distribution curve of the shaped refractory has a maximum peak at a pore diameter of not less than 10 µm in a central part located at least 5 mm inward from the surface of the shaped refractory in a normal direction and also a pore volume peak within a pore diameter range of 0.05¼1.0 µm because agglomerates of the oxide powder are formed in the pores of the fired refractory.
