Disclosed is a foamed spacer fluid comprising cement kiln dust, a foaming agent, a gas, and water. The foamed spacer fluid has a higher yield point at 130°F (54°C) than at 80° F (27°C), a higher yield point at 180° F (82°C) than at 80° F (27°C), and/or a higher plastic viscosity at 180°F (82°C) than at 80° F (27°C).
