GARBAGE DISPOSAL UNIT
A garbage disposal unit and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. The garbage disposal unit includes a cabinet (1), a crushing unit (2) disposed in the cabinet to crush garbage, a housing body (31) provided in the cabinet, an inlet port (33) for guiding garbage discharged from the crushing unit to the housing body, an outlet port (35) for allowing an inside of the housing body to communicate with an inside of the cabinet, a storage body (41) disposed in the housing to contain garbage, a rotating shaft (47) disposed parallel to the ground to rotatably support the storage body by the housing body, a communication hole (42) formed through the storage body and adapted to communicate with the inlet port or the outlet port depending on a rotational angle of the storage body, and an agitation unit (5) rotatably provided in the storage body to open and close the communication hole.
