A cord diverter (100) for diverting a cord of a hanging system. The cord diverter has a first side (110) and a second side (150) perpendicular to the first side (110). The first side (110) fits onto the end of a rail of the hanging system or can be clamped between the rail and a cover (200) which fits on the end of the rail. The second side (150) is provided with at least one hole (151).
