RAPIDLY SUSPENDABLE PULVERULENT COMPOSITION
A powdery composition contains 20 wt.% or more calcium sulfate binder and 0.01-4 wt.% copolymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (a) chosen from carboxylic acid, carboxylic acid salt, carboxylic acid ester, carboxylic acid amide, carboxylic acid imide and carboxylic acid anhydride and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b) having polyalkylene oxide residue. A powdery composition contains 20 wt.% or more calcium sulfate binder and 0.01-4 wt.% copolymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (a) chosen from carboxylic acid, carboxylic acid salt, carboxylic acid ester, carboxylic acid amide, carboxylic acid imide and carboxylic acid anhydride and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b) having polyalkylene oxide residue. The powdery composition is prepared by mixing less than 20 wt.% aqueous solution-containing component, less than 30 wt.% organic solvent-containing component and calcium sulfate binder. The composition is free of hydraulic binder. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) use of powdery composition; (2) binder composition comprising powdery composition and at least one additional binder chosen from cement, Portland cement, white cement, calcium aluminate cement, calcium sulfoaluminate cement and hydraulic binder; and (3) use of aqueous component.
