The present invention concerns a cylinder core (1) for a cylinder for locks (2), comprising a key profile insert (3) inserted in a cylinder core body (4), the key profile insert (3) having at least one first core pin (5) and the cylinder core body (4) having a first pin channel (7), a second pin channel (8), and at least one second core pin (6), wherein the first pin channel (7) aligns with the first core pin (5) and the second pin channel (8) guides the second core pin (6) and wherein the first core pin (5) and the second core pin (6) are movable within the first pin channel (7) and the second pin channel (8) by a key which is insertable into the cylinder core (1).
