The invention relates to a door drive (10) for driving an interior building door or an external door, comprising a driving device (18) for producing a driving force and for transferring the driving force to a door leaf (24) of the interior building door or of the external door. In order to be able to produce the door drive (10) very economically and nevertheless to be able to safely operate the door drive, it is proposed that the door drive (10) also comprises a door-drive control device (20) for controlling the driving device (12), wherein a pre-warning device (52) is associated with the door-drive control device (20), which pre-warning device is designed to output a pre-warning signal for persons in the vicinity of the driven interior building door or external door in a predetermined pre-warning time before the actuation of the driving device (12) to produce and transfer the driving force, which pre-warning signal is acoustic and/or is optical and/or can be perceived by a sense of touch.
