The application relates to a method for producing an insulation board (10) comprising a rigid plastic foam core having two major surfaces and a facing material on at least one of the major surfaces, the method comprising : (a) providing a first facing material (1) made from a first material for attachment to one major surface of the core, the first facing material having an interlocking surface structure on one major surface, (b) applying a second material (2) being a foam-forming mixture to the first facing material so that the second material penetrates into the locking stucture of the first facing material to form a singly faced composite, the second material (2) being susbstantially coextensive with the first facing material (1); (c) providing a second facing material for application to the foam-forming mixture and attaching the second facing material the the exposed major surface of the core to form a doubly faced composite, the fist facing material (1) comprising either an extruded thermoplastic polymeric foam layer or a laminate of the extruded thermoplastic polymeric foam layer with at least one other facing material, and (d) foaming and curing the faced foam-forming mixture to produce an insulation board (10). The application further relates to an insulation board (10) and a plurality of buildings.
