AN ADAPTIVE WATER VAPOUR BARRIER
An adaptive water vapour barrier (100) comprising a first layer (110) having a first thickness (d 1 ) from 2 µm to 25 µm and comprising at least one of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH); a second layer (120) arranged on a first side of the first layer (110) and connected to the first layer (110), having a second thickness (d 2 ) from 2 µm to 17 µm; a third layer (130), arranged on an opposite second side of the first layer (110) and connected to the first layer (110), and having a third thickness (d 3 ) from 2 µm to 17 µm. The second (120) and the third (130) layers comprise at least one of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and polyamide (PA); but not necessary the same material. Use of such adaptive water vapour barrier (100) in between two thermally insulating layers (310, 320) that are arranged in between an outer wall (420) and an inner wall (410) of a building.
