The present invention relates to a load carrier for a vehicle comprising a base (3) and a lid (4). The load carrier (1) comprises a lock arrangement (10) arranged on the base (3) and/or the lid. The lock arrangement (10) is operated via an actuator (21) and comprises at least a first and a second displaceable lock element (40) arranged at a distance from each other and operable between a locked and unlocked positon. The actuator (21) is a translatable actuator (21).
