The invention relates to a plastic hollow chamber profile (1) for the construction of windows and doors, comprising a rebate (5) disposed on an outer face of the profile, wherein the plastic hollow chamber profile (1) has a channel (9) for receiving a head (20) of a fastening means (21) on the outer face of the profile lying opposite the rebate (5). The invention further relates to a use of such a plastic hollow chamber profile (1) for producing a connection between the plastic hollow chamber profile (1) and a pillar profile and/or bar profile using a connector, wherein the connector is connected by a fastening means (21) to the plastic hollow chamber profile (1), the head (20) of the fastening means (21) being received in the channel (9).
