An apparatus comprising a thermally insulating panel (700) comprising a first pane (702A), a second pane (702C) disposed in a spaced-apart, substantially parallel relationship to the first pane (702A), a third pane (702B) disposed in a spaced-apart, substantially relationship to the second pane (702C); a first edge member (704C) disposed along a top portion of the first (702A), second (702C) and third panes (702B) and joined to a top edge of each of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes; a second edge member (704A) disposed along a first side portion of the of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes and joined to a first side edge of each of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes; a third edge member (704B) disposed along a second side portion of the of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes and joined to a second side edge of each of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes; a fourth edge member (704D) disposed along a bottom portion of the of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes and joined to a bottom edge of each of the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes; the first (702A), second (702C) and third (702B) panes and the first (704C), second (704A), third (704B) and fourth (704D) edge members defining a first (706A) and second (706B) interior volume, and wherein the first interior volume (706A) is filled with an infrared-absorbing gas, and the second interior volume (706B) is evacuated.
