Verfahren zur Herstellung eines polychrom und/oder räumlich polychrom oder eines monochrom gefärbten keramischen Körpers, insbesondere eines derart gefärbten Dentalkeramikrohlings, wobei zur Steuerung einer gezielten Verteilung von Farbpigmenten (101, 102) innerhalb einer porösen Keramik (100), in einem ersten Schritt, der ein Beladungsschritt (3c) ist, die Keramik (100) mit einer Farbpigmentlösung (104) beladen wird. In einem zweiten Schritt, der ein Verteilungssteuerungsschritt (4d) ist, wird die Verteilung der Farbpigmente (101, 102) innerhalb der Keramik (100) durch Regelung eines oder mehrerer Umgebungsparameter (106) in einer Umgebung (108), insbesondere durch Regelung der Luftfeuchtigkeit und/oder des Drucks und/oder der Temperatur, gesteuert.
