Provided is an overflow mechanism of a water tank. The overflow mechanism is provided with a flow inlet (13) and a flow outlet. The flow inlet is assigned to be arranged on a trough basin or an overflow slot or an independent drain hole of the water tank. The flow outlet is assigned to be arranged on a water outlet or a vent valve of the water tank. A flow channel used for a fluid is arranged between the flow inlet (13) and the flow outlet. The overflow mechanism is characterized in that at least a section (20.1-20.4) is arranged in the flow channel, and the flow channel has a cross section which is basically round.
