NEEDLED BRAKE DISKS AND METHODS
The present disclosure provides a fibrous preform (20;100;510), comprising an annulus having at least one of an outer diameter portion (110) or an inner diameter portion (120), the outer diameter portion (110) extending radially inward from an outer diameter (75;104) of the fibrous preform (20;100;510) and the inner diameter portion (120) extending radially outward from an inner diameter (25;102) of the fibrous preform (20;100;510). In various embodiments, the fibrous preform (20;100;510) further comprises a medial diameter portion (106) disposed between the outer diameter (75;104) and the inner diameter (25;102), wherein the medial diameter portion (106) comprises a first needling profile (306), and the at least one of the outer diameter portion (110) or the inner diameter portion (120) comprises a second needling profile (320). In various embodiments, the first needling profile (306) is less than the second needling profile (320).

In various embodiments, the first needling profile (306) is less than the second needling profile (320).
