DRAIN WITH INTEGRATED OVERFLOW
A drain with integrated overflow (10) for a sanitary ware product (80) such as a bath or the like. The drain (10) comprises a multi chamber drain (12) and an overflow apparatus (14). The multi chamber drain (12) comprises a body (16) defining at least a first and a second chamber (24, 26) therein. Openings into the body define a first outlet port (18) and a second outlet port (20). Each of the first and second outlet ports (18, 20) are vertically and horizontally displaced relative to each other. The first outlet port (18) is in fluid communication with the first chamber (24) and the second outlet port (20) is in fluid communication with the second chamber (26). The first and second outlet ports (18, 20) are each connectable to associated first and second pipe sections (34, 42) of the overflow apparatus. The overflow apparatus (14) comprises a first pipe section (34) configured to attach to the first outlet port (18) and a second pipe section (42) configured to attach to the second outlet port (20). The first and second pipe sections (34, 42) provide substantially vertical pipe sections. The first and second pipe sections (34, 42) are joined in continuous fluid communication by an inverted U-shaped passage (38), which includes a normally open air valve (56) at its summit. The air valve (56) is operable to control flow of water through the apparatus in a non-siphonic state.

The air valve (56) is operable to control flow of water through the apparatus in a non-siphonic state.
