METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING WOOD LAMELLAE
A method of producing a plurality of wood lamellae having an approximately trapezoidal cross section is disclosed. The method comprises providing a half log (2) having a semicircular cross section, presenting a convex surface (210) and a planar surface (211), cutting a groove (201 ) at a central portion of the planar surface (211), such that the groove extends along a length direction (L) of the log (2), and cutting at least two radial cuts, each extending from the convex surface (210) to the groove (201) and longitudinally along the log, such that at least three wood lamellae are formed. The invention comprises also a device for producing a plurality of wood lamellae having an approximately trapezoidal cross section.
