The present invention proposes a latch bolt plate (10) having an out-of-plane protrusion (14), such that when the latch bolt plate (10) is mounted to a frame (7) of a door (19) to engage a corresponding latch bolt (6) of a lock (4) mounted to a panel (1) hinged to the door (19), and such that when the door is closed, the protrusion (14) faces the latch bolt (6) at a side surface (102) of the latch bolt (6) which side surface (102) being mainly parallel to a main plane (101) corresponding to the panel (1). The present invention further proposes a strike plate assembly comprising such latch bolt plate (10).
