The invention relates to a construction element including at least two joists (2) and at least one interjoist (6) arranged between said joists. According to the invention, each interjoist has a rectangular cross section such that opposite corners of each interjoist are received in corresponding corners of the joists. The joists are formed by one or two profile elements. The construction element also comprises means for connecting the joists to a topping (8) of the construction element. The invention also relates to a method for mounting such a construction element.
