Waste and pulverulent additives are stirred in a completely protected manner, the waste drum (1) being closed by a cover surmounted by a tube (9), into which there open pipes (10) for introducing the filler additives and dust suction pipes (11). The stirring blade (6) is left in the drum, in order not to need to remove the cover (4). The tube (9), positioned on the bore (5), can then be removed. Possible application to nuclear waste coated in a cement matrix.
