Provided are a toilet to be easily installed with improved appearance, without allowing the user to easily notice any portion, supporting the toilet, of its support frame, and a method of manufacturing such a toilet. A toilet (1) includes: a toilet body (3) with a bowl (31); and a support frame (2) fixable on an upright surface (70). The toilet body (3) includes a supporting member housing (30) with a housing space inside. The support frame (2) includes a supporting member (20) arranged in the housing space to support the supporting member housing thereon (30). The supporting member housing (30) has an insertion opening (306) allowing the supporting member (20) to be inserted into the housing space.
