The invention relates to a mounting aid (10), in particular in the form of two U-shaped profiles connected to one another at the back. A first railing bar can be introduced and secured in a first U-shaped profile, i.e. in a first receiving cradle (14). The first receiving cradle (14) can be designed to form a press fit, an engaging connection and/or a magnetic connection with the middle section of the first railing bar. The second U-shaped profile, i.e. a second receiving cradle (16), can be designed to form a loose fit with an end section of a second railing bar. Alternatively or in addition, the second receiving cradle (16) can be designed to form an engaging connection with an end section of the second railing bar and/or same can have a magnet for reversibly detachably retaining the end section of the second railing bar in the receiving cradle (16). The invention also relates to a scaffold comprising the first railing bar reversibly detachably secured in the first receiving cradle (14) and the second railing bar reversibly detachably arranged in the second receiving cradle (16).
