The invention relates to a device for parking a vehicle, comprising at least two horizontal conveying units arranged one behind the other in a conveying direction (x), and at least one pallet for providing a parking area for a vehicle to be parked. The horizontal conveying units are actuated by means of a control device (C) for conveying, stopping, and positioning a pallet. At least two measuring sensors (46, 47, 48) arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction (x) are arranged on the respective horizontal conveying unit. The at least two measuring sensors (46, 47, 48) are used for detecting at least one detection element (63). By means of the at least two measuring sensors (46, 47, 48) and the at least one detection element (63), a pallet can be positioned quickly and exactly relative to a horizontal conveying unit in a simple and reliable manner.
