An object of the present invention is to provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus of a glass panel for a glass panel unit, the manufacturing method and the manufacturing apparatus eliminating disposing, for each cut glass panel, the spacers thereon with the spacers positioned. The manufacturing method of the glass panel for the glass panel unit includes a melting step, a spreading step, an annealing step, a cutting step, and a spacer disposition step. The spacer disposition step is a step of disposing spacers (4) onto a glass sheet (110) and is performed by a spacer disposition device (6) prior to the cutting step.
