A method for creating vacuum insulation panels comprising the following steps: - selecting two films (21, 22, 25, 26) as candidates for assembly with each other for the creation of a vacuum insulation panel, - marking each of the two films with marks distributed on the respective surfaces of same, - bringing them to a temperature T and keeping them there for a predefined time period t, - establishing a map of the shrinkage of each of the two films before and after the heating step, - establishing a map of the differential shrinkage of the pair constituted by the two films, - keeping the pair if the map of the differential shrinkage shows a differential shrinkage less than a threshold value S. The threshold value S is a function of the temperature T, the time period t and a glue provided for the subsequent assembling of the two films with each other.
