A pre-fabricated pole foundation provided includes a cavity to retain pole assembly of different profile, shape, size, and material interchangeably, a tapered structure onto which the pole rests, and recesses or opening(s) in the pole cavity wall enabling foundation hoisting, plumbing and anchoring. The cavity wall may accommodate electronic device enclosures. Fill material provides structural support to the foundation and/or the embedded pole. The foundation structure can be fabricated by casting, molding or printing having volumetric and/or cellular wall structure used with tapered pole shafts, a cap that also provides pole alignment and, a straight pole cavity with straight pole shaft wherein the cavity profile mirrors the pole shaft having slightly larger dimensions. The printed foundation design software is configured to generate optimal foundation sizing requiring little or no human processes from the sending the production file to the printer through the printed foundation completion.
