The invention relates to the use of a buried pipe (12) for receiving fluids or power lines made of a material having an electrical conductivity of less than 10 Sm/mm² and a thermal conductivity of greater than 1.2 W/(m K), wherein the pipe (12) has a pipe wall (14), through which at least one wall duct (20) extends parallel to the longitudinal direction (18) of the pipe (12), characterized in that electrical energy or a fluid medium (28) is transferred through the wall duct (20).
