IMPROVED BIFOLD SYSTEM
A bifold system, in at least one iteration, includes a frame having a jamb and a header; a track extending along the header; a first panel and a second panel each having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the first panel being hinged to the jamb at the first side of the first panel to pivot about a vertical axis spaced with respect to the track; an intermediate hinge(s) connecting the second panel to the first panel, the intermediate hinge(s) enabling the panels to be opened and closed; a wheel connected towards the second side of the second panel, the wheel being rotatably and vertically mounted to travel along the track. When the panels are in the open configuration, the intermediate hinge(s) offsets the second side of the first panel from the first side of the second panel by a spacing in the forward direction.
