POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AND ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM
A power generation system includes: at least one power generating device (3) generating electric power by rotation of an input shaft (31); and a power storage circuit (12) including at least one capacitor (Cl to C4) and storing energy of the electric power generated by the power generating device (3). The power storage circuit (12) has a capacitance equal to or near an energy-maximizing capacitance, the energy-maximizing capacitance indicating a capacitance maximizing an upper limit energy in characteristics of energy to capacitance, the characteristics being calculated as the upper limit energy to be stored in the power storage circuit (12), with respect to the capacitance of the power storage circuit (12). The characteristics of energy to capacitance are calculated based on: the capacitance of the power storage circuit (12), an electromotive force of the power generating device (3), an internal resistance of the power generating device (3), and a duration of one power generating action of the power generating device (3).
