The invention concerns a method for forming a surface course on at least one part of a surface of a composition made from hydraulic binder to be treated, comprising the steps consisting of: a) applying a composition comprising: - at least one hydraulic binder, and - at least one aggregate, the Los Angeles coefficient LA of which is less than or equal to 0, to at least one part of a surface of a composition made from fresh hydraulic binder, b) floating the at least one part of the surface to which the composition has been applied, then c) applying a surface deactivator composition to the at least one part of the surface to which the composition has been applied, then d) curing the fresh hydraulic binder composition, then e) eliminating the uncured hydraulic binder layer on the surface, and the composition made from hydraulic binder, at least part of a surface of which comprises a surface course likely to be obtained. This surface course has improved durability.
