CHILD SAFETY SEAT BRACKET FOR USE IN A VEHICLE
A bracket assembly (10), such as a child safety seat bracket assembly, for use in a vehicle and an associated method of manufacture. The bracket assembly (10) includes a wire loop structure (20) that has end portions (22) that are stamped to locally widen the wire loop structure (20) a predetermined distance from ends thereof. These end portions (22) are pressed through cylindrical bores 14 of a bracket structure (12) that is configured to be secured to a seat, interior structure, and/or body of the vehicle, for example. The ends of the wire loop structure (20) are deformed to form retention caps (26) that prevent the end portions (22) of the wire loop structure (20) from backing out of the cylindrical bores (14) of the bracket structure (12). A child safety seat may be selectively secured to one or more of such bracket assemblies (10) to selectively secure the child safety seat to the seat, interior structure, and/or body of the vehicle.
