The invention relates to a connection head (10, 10 ') for a tubular profile (114) of a scaffolding assembly for use as a vertical diagonal member, comprising a connection part (14) for detachably connecting the connection head (10, 10') to a connection seat (110) of a scaffolding rod (102, 104), and an outer flange (28) that protrudes from the connection part (14) and is used to fasten the connection head (10, 10 ') to the tubular profile (114). The outer flange (28) has a foot part (30) arranged on the connection part (14) and a flange part (32) carried by the foot part (30) and having an eyelet (34), which flange part (32) protrudes laterally from the foot part (30) on both sides transversely to the longitudinal axis (36) of the outer flange (28) and preferably narrows towards both freeends thereof, respectively. In addition, the invention also relates to a vertical diagonal member (114) with two connection heads (10, 10 ').
