PROCESS FOR THE HYDROPHOBIZATION OF A FIBER CEMENT SLAB AND FIBER CEMENT SLAB HAVING A HYDROPHOBIC COATING OBTAINED BY THIS PROCESS
A process for hydrophobization of a fiber cement slab is described in which an acrylic-siloxane resin-based composition is applied onto a fiber cement slab and subsequently dried to form an hydrophobic coating on said fiber cement slab. The process also includes the application of a (meth) acrylic polyurethane resin-based composition onto the hydrophobic coating to give at least one transparent or coloured finishing layer to the slab. The hydrophobized slab obtained with the process according to the invention has a durable hydrophobic coating.
