The invention relates to a method for producing a hollow-chamber profile (1) for a window or a door, which is constructed of multiple sub-profiles (2, 3) with at least one sub-profile (2, 3) comprising a thermoplastic material, wherein the thermoplastic material at least partially forms the inner walls (6, 6´, 6´´) and the outer walls (7, 7´, 7´´) of the hollow-chamber profile (1) and the inner walls (6, 6´, 6´´) and the outer walls (7, 7´, 7´´) surround the hollow chambers (5, 5´, 5´´, 5´´´) of the hollow chamber profile (1), wherein the method comprises the stages of (a) providing at least two sub-profiles (2, 3), and (b) connecting the sub-profiles (2, 3) provided in stage (a) thereby forming the hollow-chamber profile (1). The invention also relates to a hollow-chamber profile (1) for a window or a door, which is produced according to a method of this type.
