Lined pipe or reservoir element (10) for transporting or storing drinking water, comprising a blank pipe or reservoir element (12) made of ductile cast iron, steel or concrete, and an inner lining (18) located on an inner wall (14) of the blank pipe or reservoir element, the inner coating being capable of being obtained by applying a mortar comprising a binder to the inner wall. The binder comprises one from among: - a first composition comprising a mixture of CEM I SR Portland cement and blast-furnace slag, the weight proportion of the CEM I SR Portland cement in said mixture being between 5% and 64%, - a second composition comprising a mixture of CEM lll/B cement and microsilica, or a mixture of CEM I SR Portland cement and microsilica, the weight proportion of CEM lll/B cement or of CEM I SR Portland cement in said mixture being between 50% and 94%, and - the mixtures of the first composition and the second composition.
