SAFETY DEVICE FOR STRUTS
The invention relates to a safety device for struts comprising a base having at least one U-shaped portion defined by a central section and extremities, the separation between at least one portion of the extremities thereof being longer than the width of the outer tube, as well as shorter than the length of the pin it is intended to support and the width of the nut on which it is intended to be supported, wherein the upper surface of each extremity of the base comprises an inclined portion, both inclined portions being symmetrical to each other relative to the vertical plane of symmetry of the base and the lower ends thereof being situated on the side of the central section of the base, comprising a latch with at least one U-shaped portion, affixed in an articulated manner by its central section to the central section of the base, which may rotate freely relative to an axis perpendicular to the vertical plane of symmetry of the base, having at least one protrusion comprised in at least one of the extremities, and with a size such that, in its lock condition, the extremities thereof can be supported by said inclined portions.
